KA Rosie Jo - Tuber

If I could grow only one dahlia this one is it. I have grown this one for the past 4 years and no other dahlia gets along in a bouquet better than KA Rosie Jo. The raspberry dahlias bloom their hearts out on long strong stems. 

KA Rosie Jo Averages  4' foot tall plants with 3-4” blooms. Price is per tuber.

Planting & Care Instructions:

Start by digging a 6- to 8-inch deep hole to plant the tubers. Mix some compost and a handful of bonemeal into the planting hole. Otherwise, do not fertilize at planting.

Set a tuber into the hole with the neck and eyes facing up or lay the tuber on its side. 

Cover the tuber with soil.

Do not water the tubers right after planting. This encourages rot. Wait until the sprouts have appeared above the soil, then water. This may take several weeks.

To support the growing plant place 5- to 6-foot stakes around plants at time of planting and tie stems to them as the plants grow.

Dahlias begin blooming about 8 weeks after planting.
